Participant Tracking

This policy enforces the tracking of all clinical research subjects and any associated billing charges.

Subject Enrollment

The procedures outlined in this policy are intended to facilitate the identification of patients participating in research throughout the hospital, to ensure appropriate institutional compliance within and among departments and to make sure charges are reviewed before the patient’s charges are dropped into the automated billing system.

Jackson Research

This policy introduces a form titled the Research Encounter Ticket. Designated research staff must identify on this form the conventional care/standard of care/routine care encompassed on the research protocol as well as any research care: procedures that the sponsor agrees to cover in the contract.
