The University of Miami is dedicated to the reinforcement of ethical and responsible conduct of research. Below are compliance pages divided by effort reporting, financial and all other compliance services.

No University of Miami officer or member of the board of directors as defined under 216.1366 of the State of Florida Statutes has state funds allocated to be used during the term of the contract for remuneration for any state of Florida contract which requires this reporting under 216.1366.

Effort reporting is a process mandated by the federal government to verify that direct labor charges to, or cost shared on, sponsored projects are accurate, timely, and reflect the actual level of work performed. Foreign Engagement Guidelines

The Guidelines for Foreign Entity Relationships will help to clarify UM's position on various activities relating to foreign entities. 

It is important to take the necessary steps to ensure expenditure compliance in regards to policies and procedures set forth by the University.

The University of Miami encourages international collaboration, and recognizes it is important for investigators to be transparent about their foreign relationships and activities.
