2) What is the Pre-Award Team responsible for?
The Pre Award Team is responsible for assisting with the review, approval and submission of sponsored proposals, as well as the creation, negotiation and execution of Medicare Coverage Analysis (billing grids), clinical budgets and contracts/subcontracts. Pre Award is responsible for sponsored research agreements, clinical trial agreements, subaward agreements, confidentiality agreements, inbound material transfer agreements, etc. We serve as a liaison with sponsors, Jackson, VA and other entities. We also provide support for other interactions with sponsors.
3) What is the Post-Award Team responsible for?
The Post-Award Team deals with everything related to AFTER the award is granted such as setting up an award, managing an award and closing out an award.
4) What is Clinical Research?
Clinical research is a branch of healthcare science determining the safety and efficacy of medications, devices, diagnostic products and treatment regimens intended for human use. This area of research does entail additional entities, forms and policies which faculty and administrators must become familiar with related to contracting, budgeting, billing, etc.
